Medical marijuana summit set for Harrisburg on Tuesday

The Harrisburg campus of the Harrisburg Area Community College system will be the site of a medical marijuana educational summit on Tuesday.

The school is holding the summit in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis Society. Experts in science, marketing, law and security will present programs during the day.

John Collins, director of the Office of Medical Marijuana with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, is among the speakers. Collins will provide an update of the state’s medical marijuana program.

Among the other scheduled speakers are state Sen. Mike Folmer, R-Lebanon; Jahan Marcu, chief science officer at Americans for Safe Access; Gordon Fagras, CEO and co-founder, Trace Analytics; Ted Daniels, founder, National Cannabis Security Services and a member of the National Expert Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Cannabis Task Force.
