Pennsylvania Medical Solutions, one of the 12 medical marijuana growers and processors recently licensed by the state, will hold a job fair on Oct. 3 to fill up to 30 positions for its Scranton facility.
The company will hold three, hour-long sessions at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Platform Lounge, 700 Lackawanna Ave. in Scranton. At each session, representatives of Vireo Health, the parent company of Pennsylvania Medical Solutions, will make presentations, hold question and answer periods. Job candidates also will be able to fill out applications during the sessions.
The jobs to be filled include:

• Security Site Supervisor
• Security Officers
• Security Transport Supervisor
• Expert Grower
• Cultivation Technician
• Chemist
• Laboratory Technician
• Packaging Tech
• Quality Assurance Manager

The facility is planned for Rosanna Avenue in the city’s Green Ridge section. Pennsylvania Medical Solutions has signed a labor peace agreement with United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 and plans on creating new union jobs at the facility.
